On A First Name Basis

A series of three artist-designed skate decks, each one a tribute to a name that outgrew its surname. Alone, Vincent, Pablo, and Andy could be anyone: a neighbor, a classmate, a name called across a playground. Together, they need no introduction, and the mind fills in the rest at once: Van Gogh, Picasso, Warhol. Each skate deck carries its name in bold outlined letters on a clean white surface, left open on purpose. The empty letters are an invitation to draw, color, and make your mark in dedication to the artists who made theirs, and in doing so to become an artist yourself.
